Customer Experiences Success With 203(k) Mortgage Loan
While house hunting earlier this year, our customer Jerry found a home in Brighton, MI that he wanted to purchase. Even though it needed a little TLC and some elbow grease, that didn’t deter Jerry from buying the house. Being the savvy consumer he is, Jerry decided to look for a lender that could help him obtain a 203(k) mortgage loan.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the 203(k) mortgage loan program, it is unique in that it enables homebuyers to conveniently finance their new home and subsequent home improvements under a single mortgage loan. This means that customers won’t have to exhaust their personal savings to cover the cost of home improvements.
Like any smart consumer, Jerry called a few different mortgage lenders to find out who offered 203(k) loans and who had the best rate. His search for lenders that offered 203(k) loans soon grew exhausting as he got passed from lender to lender with no luck. It soon became clear to him that no one was willing to offer such a loan, except Danielle Boote, branch manager of our Brighton location.
After being referred to Danielle by another mortgage lender, Danielle asked Jerry to go online and fill out a quick application form that would provide her with the information she needed to get the ball rolling. Jerry found the online application to be extremely useful. It was easy to fill out and it set the foundation for an efficient and seamless experience. Within minutes of receiving his application, Danielle contacted him to start the loan approval process.
At first, Jerry was a little nervous about applying for the 203(k) loan, but Danielle eased his fears by helping him understand everything there was to know about the 203(k) loan. Jerry said the thing he appreciated most about working with Danielle in addition to her honesty was how she made him feel like her only customer. “She was always there to answer any questions I had, and quickly too,” said Jerry.
