2018: A Year in Review at Ross Mortgage
We’re quickly closing in on the end of 2018, and while we’re looking forward to what 2019 has to bring, I’d like to take this moment in time to highlight some of the many achievements our team accomplished this past year. Regardless of how small the task may seem, the exceptional work that the individuals within our company did was the catalyst for another great year.
Rather than leaving well enough alone, we continued to raise the bar in terms of what it means to be successful at what we do. Here are just a few of our most memorable moments and notable achievements this year.
Expanding Lending Options with New Loan Products
Having the solutions available to help our customers no matter where they are in their journey is something we continually work to do. 2018 proved to be an incredible year for expansion in the realm of loans available to clients. Some products we introduced this year are:
One-Time Close Construction Loan
Growing family looking for somewhere to raise your children and call home for an extended period of time? Empty nester looking to downsize without the involvement of a renovation? First time homebuyer looking to make your dream home a reality with something custom built? Whichever category you might fall into, we have the perfect loan for you.
There was a limited supply of move-in ready homes available this past year, for this reason homebuyers are beginning to think outside the box and broaden their housing options—a trend that has led more buyers to consider the benefits of buying a manufactured home.
Spending countless hours helping individuals comes with the job description of being a medical professional. That’s why we’re committed to spending the time it takes to get the perfect loan drawn up for those medical professionals. Our Doctor Loan is the ideal product for any medical professional but is particularly useful for young professionals just beginning their careers.
With the VA making great strides for Michigan veterans in 2018, we were proud to roll out a new financing option that further expands housing options for military members—our VA Renovation loan.
Servicing New Communities in New States
It’s our opinion that everyone, everywhere deserves a great partner in the mortgage lending and homebuying process. To make that a reality, we’re constantly looking for the markets and individuals to make healthy, sustainable growth possible. We’re excited to share that we opened five new branches this year, in Baltimore, Maryland, Jacksonville, Florida, State College, Pennsylvania and two branches in Michigan (Birmingham and New Hudson). Having Our Team Recognized
Ross Mortgage is proud to share the accomplishments and accolades of that our team members earn. This year, we saw Ross Mortgage’s VP of Underwriting, Brian McCown, receive an AMP designation from the Mortgage Banking Association. Brian’s commitment to further his education exemplifies the passion our team members across the company have for their work. Providing the tools and ability for our team members to better themselves has always been a focus for our company, we believe that bettering our employees in their careers and lives allows us to pursue our goals as a company.
Community Involvement
Ross Mortgage has always recognized the importance of giving back to the communities we serve and reside in. This summer, as a part of our H.O.P.E. initiative, we closed our offices for a day and worked to clean up and rejuvenate a local Detroit neighborhood with Life Remodeled. Positive Client Feedback
There is plenty that made 2018 such a great year for Ross Mortgage thanks to everything from branch expansion to product expansion, but nothing is as important as you! Our customers, readers and supporters. The feedback we received in 2018 was overwhelmingly positive and overwhelming to receive. One great example comes in the form of this segment we were able to partake in on WXYZ Channel 7.
With an incredible 2018 behind us, we look forward to building upon our successes to make 2019 an even more prosperous year.
